To my understanding/experience, it’s the same Crashlytics tooling/reporting and seemingly apis, but it will send the data to Firebase instead of the Fabric console. Presumably to allow a single location for all your app’s needs and to allow for integration with other Firebase services such as Cloud Functions

Once you set up to report to Firebase, I don’t believe the Fabric console will receive events any more (doesn’t seem to be for us).
